Planning poker calculator

Each vote is placed by its position on the scale, so Fibonacci, 1 to 10 and T-shirt sizes all work the same way. Every role's votes are averaged on their own and snapped to the nearest card on the scale.

The final estimate is the median of the role averages, so one role far away from the others cannot drag the result on its own. The overall average is the mean of the role averages.

Confidence comes from how far apart the role averages are: within one step of the scale is high, within two is medium, and more than two is low, which is the cue to discuss the story before you vote again.

The ? card means "I do not know enough yet" and ∞ means "too big, split it". Both are left out of the averages, so an honest "I don't know" never turns into a 0.
